Newborn Photos With Twin Siblings :: Boston Photography
This sweet little girl brought her older twin sisters to her newborn sessions. This was extra fun for me, because I had actually taken their newborn portraits back when they were that little! It’s always a treat for me to be able to photograph younger siblings of “my” kids. Not only do I get to see them a little older, but I get to meet a new little one, too!
As a mom to twin girls, twin sisters are always a little extra special to me. And seeing these two sisters with their brand new baby sister was a joy. I’m so grateful I get to capture these moments for families. And these two big sisters definitely seem like they’re already in love with their new baby!
Typically, newborns stay asleep for the entire session, which is ideal for posed portraits. We keep the studio extra warm and toasty, we have white noise going at all time, and we keep the lights down low. This means we are able to move and pose babies without disturbing them too much. This little lady stayed asleep, but that didn’t mean we didn’t get a few sleepy newborn smiles! These are super rare, and every time I see one I’m extremely excited. It’s like seeing a double rainbow!
Styling For This Newborn Session
For this newborn session, the colors were kept mainly neutral. We added pops of pink with her swaddle. The pink was carried into the sibling shots using hair bows for the big sisters. Grays and whites are great neutral colors, and always a great choice for newborn shoots. Small accessories and swaddles can add just a tiny bit of color while keeping the rest of it neutral and timeless.
