Six Month Old Baby Photos with Miss E

Boston, MA — I met up with this family from Boston for their family portraits, and as a way to celebrate Miss E turning six months old. I have known this spectacular family since big brother was a newborn. They are always so fantastic to be around.

I love being able to take advantage of the good weather and beautiful locations around us in New England during the summer. And I love being able to look at these photos months later during the winter as a way to remember that summer will be here again one day! This family was awesome. And Miss E’s big brother, Mr. R, was so great with his little sister. Six months is such a fun age to begin with, but it’s even better when the little one has a big brother to play with. And the whole family definitely knew how to get Miss E smiling and laughing! One of my favorite shots from the whole session is Miss E laughing in her daddy’s arms.

Styling For Outdoor Six Month Old Baby Photos

This outdoor session is the perfect example of a complete, and cohesive, color palette. Navy and white is such a clean and versatile color choice. Sometimes it can be tricky to coordinate the entire family into one color scheme, but in this case it worked perfectly. I do generally suggest taking the whole ensemble, every members clothing, into account as one larger outfit. So not all wearing the exact same colors.  Navy is such a great color because it manages to be both neutral and colorful at the same time. Dad in plaid (don’t get me started on plaid I’m obsessed) is such a more interesting choice than say, solid navy.

When dealing with all of the color nature has to offer during an outdoor photo shoot, the balance of color and neutral is important. And I love that Miss E is fully in white. The white is a great pop against all the green of the background. Not to mention, there is just something extra precious about a baby in white!
