Baby L :: North Reading Newborn Photos
Sweet Baby L and his family came to my studio from North Reading for his newborn photos. And he was such a treat to photograph, all sleepy and cuddly. And look how precious he is in mama’s arms! One of the best aspects about being a newborn photographer is getting to capture these sweet moments. In a perfect example of how small the world is, I actually went to high school with little man’s mama! I did not, however, go to high school with his daddy, as he is from Australia!
Since this session, I was able to see this family again. I photographed Mr. L and his brand new baby brother! I love getting to see these sweet families grow. And I really love getting the chance to see these teeny tiny babies become kids!
About This North Reading Baby Photo Session
For baby boy L’s newborn photo session, the color scheme chosen was all about simple, neutral colors that allowed baby L to be the center of attention. Different textures in the same neutral color scheme are a great way to add interest while still keeping the shoot classic and simple. Of course we had to have a little fun, and this great hat was the perfect way to add just a touch of whimsy to the shoot, and pay homage to daddy’s homeland of Australia!

Family Photos With Your Newborn
Whether you’re a brand new family of three, or if you’re adding new additions, newborns are reason to celebrate. And not only is it a good time to celebrate your new baby, but your growing family! Which is why I love getting family photos with your newborn. These first family portraits usually end up being some of my favorites. You can see this family and more in my YouTube video of family portraits with newborns. And then make sure you check out my YouTube for more videos!
Displaying Your Child’s Newborn Portraits
With any session I do my best to make the entire process as easy as possible for parents. This is definitely true with newborn sessions. As a mother of twins, I know how exhausting those first weeks and months truly are. Which is why I try to help in any way that I can. This includes sending out questionnaires before a session that includes styling choices and also portrait priorities. After the session, I offer in person or virtual viewing and ordering sessions to walk clients through each of their photos from their session as well as all of their print and product choices. For clients who want a custom album I work with you to choose the photos you want included and also to make sure you approve of every page. And for those who prefer wall art, I can create a mock-up using a photo of the wall you want to decorate and your own photos. No more questioning what will look good in your space. Below is an example of a mock up using framed artwork from this session.
