I met up with this family for their family portraits on a very hot summer day at their home in South Boston, MA. They had lived in the area for awhile but in the next week they would be headed to California to live. The family wanted to capture their baby’s first home, family portraits and portraits on the beaches of Boston. I generally shoot in the studio so it is really nice to get out and about! Baby E was a charmer and she had me laughing … with a pillow on my head because that is what it takes to make her smile! You do what you gotta do, to get the shot 🙂

The photo of this family walking away on the beach, on the precipice of such a huge change truly hits the heart strings. They requested photos of their baby in her first room, her nursery. I absolutely love that they wanted to document that.
