Welcome to the world baby C! I had met this little newborn baby’s parents for their outdoor maternity photos a few weeks previous. They were amazing to work with and very anxious to meet to their little man. As was I!

His very cool parents are the founders of http://www.superhealos.com/. Their tagline is “helping children facing medical treatment feel like superheroes!” They sell things like actual capes and Hospital Adventure Kits to help get children ready for long stints in the hospital, or the reality of a childhood disease. If you think about it, we read books to our kids on every subject from welcoming a new sibling to pooping in the potty. There is no better way to prepare a child, and make them feel less isolated, than to make them feel like they have the power of a superhero.

So, now you know who this guys parents are — one lucky dude!

The little monkey you see in the photo on the right was baby C’s Great Grandmother’s. She had passed away a little before he was born. She gave it to him, having slept with it for many years after her husband passed. Look at that dimple!
