I am always so happy to see this pair of siblings! They are both growing in leaps and bounds, right in front of my eyes. I mentioned before that the connection I make with families is one of the coolest rewards I find in this photography career of mine.
I have become very friendly with this Mama who I wouldn’t have otherwise known had she found me to first photograph her son, while she was still pregnant with this adorable 18 month old now toddler below. She has become involved with a fantastic cause that I want to give a shout out to: The Mama Bear Effect. Their mission statement reads: “The Mama Bear Effect seeks to empower adults to actively protect children from sexual abuse by raising awareness, and promoting conversations and behaviors that can prevent abuse.”
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how lucky in life I have been. It is time for me to start using my camera to give back to the universe. I’m not sure when, but sometime in the upcoming months I am hoping to team up and fundraise for this super important cause. Stay tuned!
These two! Such little lovelies, E on the left now seven years old. N on the right now eighteen months.
There were a couple of portraits of this little one that stopped me in my tracks. This is one of them. The tilt of the head makes me see in to her teenage years! Her eyes are wise beyond their years. But most important, I see a happy and self assured toddler. We need more little ladies like this because she is our future!
Big brother E is a delight to watch with his little sister. He has so much love for her and she clearly does for him too!
I’m loving playing around with whimsical sets for creative toddler portraiture. I would say a tee pee accomplishes that!
