Andover Baby Portraits :: 6 Week Old Baby G
This sweet Andover family came to my studio for Baby G’s 6 week old baby portraits. Sometimes parents prefer to wait until their babies are a little bit bigger before coming in to the studio for portraits. I was able to photograph baby boy G’s older brother at the same age a couple of years previous. The eye contact is certainly phenomenal at this age and stage.
There are definitely some differences between a newborn portrait session and a six week baby photo session. For one thing, at six weeks old baby is typically too old to tolerate being swaddled. Plus they tend to stay awake for the whole session. This means I’m not able to get most of those typical newborn baby poses. But that doesn’t mean I’m not able to get some adorable photos of your baby!
About This 6 Week Session
For the most part, this session was kept pretty neutral. The light brown fur really made this little guy’s big brown eyes pop. And the cream fur is one of my go-to options. I’m really digging the way the dark gray looks with the white and light gray striped beanie. But honestly, I can’t stop swooning over the last picture of Mr. G in his little sweater and bow tie. I mean, come on!
Clothing is another difference between newborn and 6 week sessions. Typically during newborn sessions baby is either naked or swaddled throughout the session. At 6 weeks, there are definitely some adorable clothing options. I love Janie and Jack or Bella Bliss for adorable baby and child clothes.
