Ahhhhhhhhh, James. How I love thee. I’ve had numerous occasions to photograph this tiny charmer starting from a week or so after his birth in June 2009. It wasn’t until late this past summer that James decided it would be cool to flash me and my camera a smile. It was glorious! Well, James came to the studio in November to have some holiday portraits taken. I wasn’t sure if the smiles a few months previous had been a fluke so I didn’t know what to expect. One thing I know for sure is that I did not expect a super smiley, outgoing and running-the-show James! He was so stinkin’ cute. He tore through the set like Godzilla as I watched / snapped in amazement. He was making noises and had distinct ohhs and ahhs for certain things. This was no surprise to his parents but at some point 3/4 of the way through the session, clear as day he said, “Hi.” I almost fell over! In any case – check out the adorable James:

:: Hello Mr. Nutcracker ::
A little behind the scenes sequence of photos for you. Moments before the photo on the left, James was hanging by the tree, looking adorable. And then like a flash he grabbed one of the ornaments off the tree and well, obviously, threw it on the ground! The ornament smashed into a hundred pieces, but no worries, he helps clean up (photo on the right):

MaDukesThese are fabulous! Obviously James is being brought up well — cleaning up after his own messes already! LOVE the one with the nutcracker; it’s as though J is saying, “Why doesn’t the dude say something?”December 21, 2010 – 12:08 pm
