I was so happy to see this Somerville family again! I got to photograph this adorable baby boy as a newborn. It was really cool to meet the family again, this time outdoors for his 3-4 month old session. He was definitely smiling at this point! This is when babyhood becomes so gratifying. It becomes less and less survival mode as your baby beings to sleep longer stretches. The interaction and smiling is by far, the best part, as you come out of the super newborn phase. I think every single milestone hit in baby’s first year is so important and leads to more independence. I remember when my girls could securely hold their heads up on their own. It felt like freedom for me! And of course it just continues from there. Really looking forward to seeing this family again soon for baby boy’s sitter session.
