A Soft Reflection on the Moments That Defined 2025 :: Capturing Connection & Emotion
Looking back on 2025 as an Andover MA photographer, I can’t help but smile. Especially thinking about just how much was packed into this year. Hundreds of sessions both inside the studio and out, tons of mini sessions and full sessions. Everything from quiet weekdays and busy weekends, all filled with real life unfolding in front of my camera. I photographed brand new newborns, sweet 3-4 month milestones, adorable sitter sessions, hilarious first birthdays, and everything in between. We celebrated holidays, birthdays, and growing families… and yes, I was peed on by more than a few babies along the way (occupational hazard). There were sweet moments, a few tears, and so much love woven through it all. This 2025 year in review through photos is something special.
Some years rush by in a blur. Others slow you down just enough to feel them. Especially when you get to witness them through the lives of so many families.
2025 in my Andover MA studio was the kind of year that didn’t always shout but it glowed. It showed up in quiet light, in arms wrapped tight, and in moments of celebration that felt deeply earned. These are the parts I’ll never forget: the light that found its way in, the hugs that grounded us, and the celebrations that reminded us why we’re here. I cannot wait to see what 2026 (my 17th year in business) has in store for me as a Boston area, Andover MA, newborn, family, and child portrait photographer.
Light :: The Way It Found Us Anyway
Light is always one of the first things I notice. And in 2025, it truly showed off.
From dramatic indoor lighting during quiet newborn sessions in the studio, to soft, glowy window light wrapping around families, to those dreamy sunset moments outdoors that make everyone stop and say, “Okay wow”. Light told so much of the story this year. Some sessions leaned bold and cinematic, others felt airy and gentle, but all of them felt honest.
As an Andover MA newborn and family photographer, light is one of my favorite tools for turning fleeting moments into something lasting. Whether I was photographing a brand new baby in the studio, creating timeless black and white portraits, or capturing families outdoors in golden hour light, these moments were shaped by care, intention, and connection.

Hugs :: The Moments That Held Us Together
If there was a heartbeat to 2025, it lived in the hugs.
Whole families gathered in close. Siblings leaned into one another. Parents wrapped their arms around their children in ways that felt instinctive, protective, and full of love. These weren’t posed moments, they were real, grounding connections that unfolded naturally.
Hugs told stories words never could. They spoke of comfort, safety, pride, and belonging. They reminded us that connection is the thread running through every season of life.
As both a Boston and Andover MA area family photographer and newborn photographer, these are the moments I know will matter most years from now. The hugs that ground us, calm us, and remind us where we belong. They’re often the images clients tell me they didn’t realize they needed until they saw them. And the ones that somehow feel more meaningful as time goes on.
These are the images clients return to again and again, the ones that feel like home.

Celebration :: Remembering Why We’re Here
There was so much to celebrate in 2025. And not just the obvious stuff.
Yes, there were new babies joining families, first birthdays full of curiosity, and milestone sessions marking how quickly little ones change. But there were also quieter celebrations: making it through a tough season, watching siblings grow into their roles, or simply pausing long enough to say, “This matters.”
As a child portrait photographer in Massachusetts, families trust me with their most meaningful milestones. As a result, these celebrations are at the heart of my work. From maternity sessions to newborn portraits and growing families, each joyful moment whether big or small deserves to be remembered. And 2025 was full of them.

Looking Ahead, While Holding It All Close
As I look back on 2025, I’m incredibly grateful. For the families who trusted me with their stories, the babies who arrived, the little ones who grew, and the moments that felt ordinary at the time but now mean everything. These are the seasons that pass too quickly, the ones you never regret documenting.
As I step into 2026 and my 17th year in business, I’m reminded why I love this work so much. The light, the hugs, the celebrations. They’re all fleeting, but the memories don’t have to be.
