A Decade of Christmas Memories :: Annual Holiday Photos With This Growing Family
There’s something incredibly special about families who come back year after year for their annual Christmas family photos. It becomes more than just a session. It becomes a tradition. This sweet family has been with me since 2016. Since way back when Miss A was just a tiny baby in her first pair of Christmas jammies. Over the years, their family holiday photo tradition has grown right alongside them. Especially when they welcomed their twin boys, Mr. P and Mr. J. Christmas photos with kids, especially my mini sessions, are such a fun way to make a new tradition. Keep reading for more North Shore holiday portraits inspiration!
Every year, we meet for their holiday portraits in my North Shore MA studio. Every year it truly feels like catching up with old friends. Watching the kids change from year to year is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Their Christmas photos with kids through the years tell such a beautiful story. It is one full of personality, love, and just the right amount of holiday chaos.

Looking Back to Where It All Began
When I first met this family, Miss A was barely sitting up on her own. Those first holiday portraits North Shore MA were all about big bows, tiny toes, and that classic baby curiosity. We didn’t know it then, but it was the start of a true family holiday photo tradition. One they’ve continued without missing a single year. Even back in 2020 when we couldn’t all be together in my studio, we found a way to make it work by meeting up at the tree farm!
In those early years, their annual Christmas family photos were centered around capturing every milestone: new smiles, new steps, and new holiday outfits. And even as the sessions were simple, the images became instant favorites and keepsakes that future holidays would build on.

Welcoming the Twins & Watching the Tradition Grow
Everything changed in the most wonderful way when Miss A became a big sister to twin boys, Mr. P and Mr. J. Suddenly, our Boston area Christmas mini sessions were filled with double the giggles, double the mischief, and double the fun.
The boys brought a whole new energy to these Christmas photos with kids through the years. One year they were swaddled up like tiny snowmen… and the next, they were toddling off in opposite directions. Through it all, this family stayed committed to their family holiday photo tradition, arriving every season with smiles, matching outfits, and a willingness to embrace the beautiful unpredictability of photographing three kids.
As they’ve grown, each session feels like another little chapter in their story. Miss A turning into the sweetest helper. The twins developing their own personalities. Mom and Dad smiling through the organized chaos. These are the pieces that make their annual Christmas family photos so special and such a joy for me to capture.

Why These Sessions Matter
Looking back at their Christmas photos with the kids through the years, I’m reminded just how powerful these traditions can be. You don’t always notice how much changes from one holiday to the next until you look at the photos side by side.
That’s the magic of these Boston area Christmas mini sessions. They are a chance to freeze time in the middle of a busy season and create images that will matter more and more as the years pass.
This family shows exactly why people choose to come back for holiday portraits in my North Shore MA studio year after year. It isn’t just about the perfect picture; it’s about the experience, the memories, and the comfort of returning to something familiar every December.

Their family holiday photo tradition is something I feel honored to be part of and something that truly fills my heart every season. Want to start your own tradition? Reach out now to learn more! And follow along on Instagram and Pinterest to learn all the latest.
