Simple and Glamorous Christmas Portraits :: Burlington MA Photographer
When it comes to Christmas portraits, there are no wrong answers. It all depends on your family and your own style and aesthetic. For some people that means going all out with the seasonal decorations and props. Some families love the cozy look of matching pajamas. And for some families, they prefer to keep the aesthetic clean and simple for Christmas portraits. When scheduling Christmas mini sessions, clients have the ability to let me know a little of what they’re looking for. Both in terms of props/styling and their own outfits. In this case, mom let me know that they were looking to keep it more simple with a white backdrop and minimal props. I think its safe to say I understood the assignment (as the kids say).
With the white backdrop, minimal props for 14 month old Mr. L, and the simple glamour of their outfits, I love everything about these simple Christmas portraits. I think this session is perfect inspiration for anyone who wants to get updated family and child photos but don’t want to go all out on the Christmas decor. The small drum set gives the sweetest little drummer boy vibes as a perfect nod to the season. And the silver train is an absolute classic and one of my go-to props for this time of year. Add in a little digital magic in the form of sparkles and it’s a perfect Christmas card photo. I think every one of these photos could easily go on a Christmas card and can also be hung on the wall year round! Best of both worlds.
