Miss R’s Boho, Woodsy Newborn Photos :: Burlington MA Photographer
This adorable family came to my studio from nearby Burlington MA to celebrate their new arrival, Miss R, with some professional portraits. Miss R’s parents mentioned in their pre-session questionnaire that it was their first time taking professional photos together. This is something that I hear all the time from new parents. Either they never had professional portraits, or the last time was at their wedding. And what better excuse than a new baby? I love helping families celebrate all the joy and love that a new baby brings with professional portraits. Another fun thing that they mentioned was that they were looking at a nature, woodsy, boho vibe for their newborn photos. I’m always excited for newborn sessions, but hearing that makes me extra excited for sure!
To get the perfect vintage/boho vibes for Miss R’s newborn photos, it was mostly through props and accessories. But mom and dad definitely had those vibes in mind when they got dressed for the session. Mom’s beautiful outfit, dad’s vest, the hats and flower crown, all helped to give those perfect boho and vintage feel to the photos. The vintage pram that Miss R slept in helped. The light blush, cream and brown color palette did as well. And for a little of the woodsy feel, some faux leaves and natural cream and tan basket did the trick. A nice blend of timeless and boho, if you ask me.
Another thing I adore about these photos? The stunning tattoos on mom and dad! And of course, the family pug. The photo of the family of four is definitely one of my favorites from this session.
