Mr. D’s Sports Themed Newborn Photos :: Westford MA Photographer
This sweet little man came to my studio from nearby Westford MA for his newborn portraits. And these weren’t just any old baby pictures. They were sports themed newborn photos! Don’t worry, though. We made sure to get plenty of non-themed solo shots, and a ton of sibling photos, too. One really cool thing about this session is I had actually photographed big sister Miss A back when she was a newborn. Getting to see her, as a big sister, and as a seven year old was so much fun. I love when parents come back to me years later for baby number 2!
Incorporating Sports in Newborn Pictures
Over the years I think it’s safe to say I have included just about every major sport into newborn photos. So I know all sorts of tricks on how best to incorporate various balls and bats and other sports paraphernalia. When I photographed big sister 7 years earlier, we included a football into some of her photos, too. I love that there is that connection between these two newborn sessions!
For Mr. D it wasn’t just football. We also had a setup for golfing, and a few different ones for baseball. The great thing about incorporating sports in this way is that there is a ton of versatility. I am still able to get plenty of portraits of the newborn without the sports theme. For this session everything was kept very simple and classic. Neutral colors and shades of blue made the perfect backdrop for all of the fun sports themed newborn photos.
