Woburn MA Newborn Photographer :: Miss M
Miss M came to my studio from Woburn MA for her newborn photos. This was the first time I got to meet her, but it was definitely not my first time meeting her family. I’ve been photographing big brother since he was still in mommy’s tummy! Check out my very first session with this family, Mr. D’s maternity session here. And I’ve seen them numerous times over the years since then. I saw them for all of the major milestones during his first year (newborn, six month, one year) and then again for his two year photos and his three year photos. Plus for the Santa mini sessions. This past Christmas both Miss M and Mr D met Santa at my studio! There are a lot of perks of being a newborn photographer, but one is definitely getting to meet these great families.
Ideas For Customizing Your Newborn Photography Session
One of my goals for any session that I shoot is to make sure that it is personalized. I customize everything from styling to use of props depending on what mom and dad like. Miss M’s mama always has ideas for what she wants and I always love working with her to craft the vision she has created. For each session she creates a Pinterest board with ideas. I love this since it makes sure that we are on the same page.
For this session, the keywords were light and bright. While I did make sure to grab a few shots using my darker, rustic wood backdrop, the majority of the photos were in front of white. I love the result. And most importantly, it was exactly what mama had hoped for.
Decorating Your Home With Your Newborn Portraits
Once your photo session is over, you might be thinking what now? Well, at Crabapple Photography we try to make the next step as easy and painless as possible. You have all of these amazing photos–you should display them! We work with you every step of the way to make sure that your photos aren’t just keepsakes you can have forever, but that they are the style that you love and want to display in your home. We offer in person viewing sessions in our studio which allow parents to see the portraits of their little ones projected onto our wall (a much better way to see them than on your tiny phone screen!) and even help parents to decide which size would work best in their home. The easiest way for us to do this is to create a mock up for you.
Below is an example of one we would make for this client. In this case, this isn’t their actual living room, but it illustrates not only what a mock up looks like, but also how big of a difference styling can make in a session. Do you have a color that features prominently in your home? Let us know ahead of time and we can make sure that the styling of your session will fit beautifully in your home.
