Newborn Baby Boy Professional Photographer Crabapple Photography

Baby S came to my Andover, MA studio with his parents and the family pup for his newborn session. For the most part he was fast asleep. But when it came time to pose with mom and dad, Baby S gave me a wide eyed stare. He was a little bit older and this does not happen often with newborns. I loved being able to see his big, gorgeous eyes. And the fact that it happened in the family portraits made it even more fun.

Styling for this Newborn Baby Boy Session

In general, I like to keep my styling neutral. Mom did have a few requests for specific colors and I was sure to incorporate them where I could. The styling of a session is teamwork. For this session mom, dad and I were all working together to choose the blankets and hats. Mom and dad dressed in neutral colors which is a nice place to start. I was able to add in pops of color. While Baby S slept soundly in the little bed, the dark blue hat served for a slight pop. And further down the dark maroon was a perfect pop against the neutral swaddle and gray hat. The different textures used create the perfect contrast and variety from photo to photo.
