Somerville Baby Photographer :: 4th of July Cake Smash

I’ve been photographing this little guy since his birth! This time, Mr. C and his family came to visit me in my studio from Somerville. We were celebrating Mr. C’s first birthday, but I made sure to get plenty of family portraits for this family of four. One of my favorite shots from this session has got to be the one of mom holding both of her kiddos. It’s equal parts portrait and candid, and entirely awesome.

About this Session

I love a themed cake smash session. And for Mr. C the 4th of July theme was a perfect choice given his birth date. Not only is this theme fun and festive, but it’s also so versatile. Color choice was an easy one, with red, white, and blue balloons making the backdrop. And Mr. C’s matching suspenders and bowtie was the perfect attire for this occasion. Add a few stars to the cake, and it was the perfect 4th of July cake smash session. But one of my favorite things about the cake smash portion of this session was being able to include big sis in the fun!
