Boston Photographer’s 2017 in Review
Below is a video comprised of one photo from each session in the year 2017 that I had permission to share. This is what a year looks like for me as a family portrait photographer. Pretty cool! Here is a link to 2016‘s, which I love just as much 🙂
What happened in 2017?
Fitting to be doing my 2017 year in review 30-ish days late. Fitting because things still feel a bit in slow motion for me after the sudden loss of my mom to pancreatic cancer in September. 2017 will go down as a very difficult year for me, personally. My mom was a major force in all of our lives, very much present for the girls and a part of raising them. At the start of the year things were cruising along. As the weeks and months flew by my family of four made a big move (for us!) out of the city (Medford) and into the suburbs (Andover). However just as things were starting to settle down a bit, a hurricane flew into town by the name of Cancer and our lives will never be quite the same. The outpouring of love and support from friends, family and clients alike was humbling. Not taking love, friendship and time in general for granted has never felt so real.
On the photography side, Crabapple Photography also moved with us to Andover. It has been pretty cool to have a large, roomy retail space (with a bathroom! and a prop room! and a Keurig! and a refrigerator!). I’m pretty proud of it and I know my mom would be too 🙂
I have not made any specific resolutions this year. I have plans to try to live life to the fullest, mindfully, and to enjoy my lady babies as the newly five-year-olds they are. Do you have any you want to share?
xo,
