Mr. M :: Lumberjack Cake Smash Boston

Mr. M is one! First birthday portrait sessions are always so much fun and are a great opportunity to get creative and a little messy. The resulting photos are well worth the delicious mess! But before the big cake smash, I am sure to get traditional and family portraits. The one year milestone is such an exciting time between babyhood and toddlerhood.

Choosing a theme for your cake smash session is so fun. Baby boy M’s first birthday party was lumberjack theme so we stuck with that for his cake smash. I absolutely I love it! It’s a nice departure from balloons (although I love those too). The lumberjack theme is perfect for the fall or winter. The red, brown, and green combination is warm and timeless. This whole cake smash has a rustic feel to it, which is totally my jam.
