Boston Child Photographer :: 8 Year Old Miss E

I started Crabapple Photography in 2009 as a family portrait studio. Since then I have largely honed in my skills and expertise on newborn babies and the momentous first year milestones. As “my” babies have grown over the years, I’ve had the pleasure to not only watch them grown, but to be able to expand my skills to include child photography. And I love it! The possibilities are endless in styling. You could go crazy. But also, you could use almost no props and use nature as your studio.

We did just that, we used nature as our studio this past fall and captures this little lady as she is now, at eight years old. The wind was ferocious on this beautiful day last fall. The wind wiped through E’s hair creating a wonderful sense of movement. Because if there is one thing I know about children, it is that they spend a lot of their awake time moving!

I absolutely love the organic feeling of the wooden stairs, a hidden gem at this part, in the portraits below. The late afternoon light was filtering through the trees, creating a gorgeous depth. Enjoy!
