I absolutely loved meeting this newborn baby girl for her portrait session at my studio near Somerville, MA. I’m actually located in Medford, but so close to Somerville, it’s pretty convenient.

But …  back to the adorable baby girl below. She was a sweetheart. That shouldn’t have come as a surprise really. Her parents were fantastic to meet and work with and very easy going. They are from Nottingham a couple hours north of London. Not a place I’ve been but is now officially on my list!

I photographed this sweet pea in late July and am loving now a couple of months later looking back at these portraits. That previous statement pretty much sums up exactly why I think everyone should be sure to capture their baby or child’s milestones by a photographer. I’m marveling at her and “remembering when” and it was just two months ago and I am the photographer, not her parents!

Baby girl I was such a snuggly and sleepy newborn. I brought out a prop I used to use quite a bit but hadn’t in some time. I found a new way to use it and love the results of this comfy, breathtakingly beautiful newborn:
