Christmas Card Portraits Chelmsford :: Mr. T
Is it me or has September absolutely flown by? The summer didn’t exactly drag on but the last few weeks were a blink. I am constantly thinking about time and how fast it is catapulting in to the future. Take this little dude for instance, Mr. T from Chelmsford. The photos you see below are his baby portraits for his Chelmsford Christmas cards last year. It might blow my mind enough to think that this was a full year go. But really, the most mind blowing thing is that he is the son of a friend I have known since middle school.
I can still picture our shenanigans, us doing each other’s hair all wild with 500 scrunchies. That one memory I can actually picture pretty perfectly because I have an actual photo of it. (Don’t worry J, I won’t share it!). I promise the point of that sentence wasn’t to lecture. As I wrote it I was reminded of how powerful photos are. I can remember all day long what I think my friends and I did and looked like in middle school. But I actually have photo albums full of evidence of it to look back on. Now I’m definitely aging myself since I clearly grew up in a time when people actually printed their photos!
Styling Ideas for Chelmsford Christmas Card Photos
One of my favorite things about these Chelmsford Christmas card portraits is definitely the styling! And Mr. T’s mama didn’t disappoint. How handsome does he look?! I’m obsessed. For classic children clothing I love Janie and Jack and Hope and Henry. I’ve written blog posts in the past about styling. Usually these posts are more geared towards family portraits, but there are still lots of tips and tricks for styling any session. Since Christmas card photos are usually taken during the fall, check out this Fall Portrait Styling Guide for more ideas!
Displaying Your Child’s Portraits
Let’s be honest for a second, how often are you children in their “Sunday best”? If they’re anything like my two girls, it’s not often. And even when it does happen on holidays, it doesn’t last long until they’ve spilled something, or pulled the bow out of their hair, or kicked off their shoes. Which is why these sessions, especially mini sessions that only last 15-20 minutes, are the best. Because your little one can be dressed in their best fancy clothing, AND you’ll have photographic evidence of it! Which is why these Christmas card photos also make the best photos for displaying in your home. And I can even help you decide what photo will work best in your home by creating a custom wall art mock-up for you.
