Wakefield Newborn Baby Photography :: Baby S

Newborn baby photographer has got to be the best job around. I get to snuggle with tiny little newborns like baby girl. She came to my studio from Wakefield, MA for her newborn baby photography session. This little lady was so sweet, and she rocked all of those sleepy newborn poses. There are so many different poses for newborn portraits. And some of them even have names! While each one is adorable, there are some that I try to get in every newborn session. I even wrote about them in a blog! Check it out here: My Top Six Newborn Photos.

Styling and Props for this Wakefield Newborn Photography Session

For this Wakefield newborn photos session, mama and daddy brought along with them a number of props that they wanted to incorporate into the photos. I have a ton of props and accessories available in my studio (seriously a ton–I might have an obsession!) but I love a challenge. And finding the right place to include sentimental objects is one of my favorite challenges! For this session, that included these gorgeous handmade blankets. The colors on these blankets were even more gorgeous in person. And they added the perfect pop of color to what was otherwise a neutral, pastel session.

They also brought along these elephant stuffed animals. Did you know that elephants are a symbol of good luck? This mama and daddy wanted their little lady to have all the luck–and I’d say she’s already a lucky lady just having them as her parents!

For handmade newborn goods for your Wakefield-area baby photos, I always suggest Etsy. But be careful if you’re anything like me–you might not be able to stop browsing.

Displaying Your Newborn Portraits

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a newborn photographer near Wakefield is knowing that I am giving my clients keepsakes that they can have for years. Not just years, but generations. Because the truth is while these photos are for you to look at and love right now, they’re also meant to last for longer. Which is why it’s important to print your photos and not just keep them as digitals. This is why I do everything I can to help my clients choose the right prints and products for them. For wall art, this can even mean creating a mock-up of your walls so you can see what your photos will look like hanging in your living room. Below is an example of one using the photos from this session. To read more about prints and products check out our What To Do With Your Photos blog post.
