Outdoor Family Photos :: Chelmsford Photographer
So cool to see this family from Chelmsford again, this time for outdoor family photos. This outdoor photo session took place last summer and I hope to see them again this summer for some updated family portraits. I’m fairly certain that will happen — Mom won a free mini session! Every year I do a “Thank you” contest and the previous year’s clients can win all kinds of cool stuff. I first met this lovely family of four when there were just 3! Being a Chelmsford area family photographer is hands down the best job imaginable–in part because it means meeting sweet families like this one!
Styling For Outdoor Photos
Living in New England means that we don’t quite get to enjoy the outdoors year round. But I think that just means we enjoy it even more when we can. And from late spring until fall, I love getting the chance to get outdoors with my clients for their family photo session. I truly love outdoor family photos like these Chelmsford photos. The beautiful backdrop of green grass and trees, the blue sky. Not only is this beautiful to enjoy while we are outside, but it’s great to play with when it comes to color schemes for styling. And this family absolutely killed it when it came to styling their session. The bright aqua and coral pop beautifully against the neutral green backdrop. And big bro’s shirt ties all the colors together perfectly. I like to call big bro’s outfit the “hero outfit” since it really ties everything together. It has all the colors, but it also adds a little extra contrast since it’s a print while everyone else is in a solid color.
