It’s no secret that I love incorporating props into baby photography portrait sessions. That’s my style, I find something uber creative and special about it. However, whenever I have a newborn baby portrait session I make sure to get a simple shot of just the baby, usually in his or her birthday suit on a neutral background. Is it a posed, contrived shot? A bit – but I love the simplicity of it and find it to be the most beautiful shot (and hopefully timeless!). It shows the newborn in his or her peaceful, cozy state that he or she is usually in for the for first couple of weeks after birth. Why am I talking about this right now!? Well because Baby boy G graced the studio with his presence mid February of this year and I am in love with the first simple, neutral background shot.
