Meet baby boy D! What a snuggler. He and his parents traveled from Dracut to the Medford studio to capture these newborn portraits. This stage in a baby’s life is over in an instant. Almost literally. One of my favorite shots (ever) is to get a newborn baby’s head in Mom or Dad’s hands. As a baby grows, it’s easy to forget just how small they are. Parents of baby #2 often make the remark that they had completely forgotten how small a days old baby is. In my newborn portraits, unless there is a context, it’s hard to gauge their size. So! Adding in Mom or Dad’s hands as context is perfect. And baby D was amazing to let us get the shot. And of course I’m a sucker for a yawning baby shot:
