GUESS who is about to be an older brother? He has made several appearances on this blog, including photos I took when he was about 8 hours old. None other than the just recently turned two years old Thomas! His Mama wanted to do a maternity session for the soon-to-be newest family member- a baby boy, and include Thomas for some early sibling photos 🙂 I can’t believe it has been 2 years since I shot the photos for Thomas’ belly portraits. I love maternity portrait photography, there’s so much excitement and energy, even when there isn’t a 2 year old involved! Pregnancy portrait sessions are always somewhat surreal to me, not yet having been pregnant myself. But coupled with the fact that this Mom was my college roommate, looking at these photos is practically mind blowing. We managed to get a whole bunch of belly shots including Mom, Dad, Thomas and of course, just the baby bump. Then, seeing as though it’s Thomas’ second birthday, we got some fantastic 2 year old portraits. Stay tuned for new baby boy’s newborn photos and sibling shots!

All of these amazing shots were taken while he was running around like… well, a two year old, and wearing us all out 🙂 Props to Kate for making us look like a well behaved and picture-ready family!!
