Ocean Nautical Cake Smash Theme Massachusetts :: Mr. A
Mr. A and his parents cake to my Massachusetts studio for his ocean and nautical themed cake smash photos and first birthday portraits. He was such a perfect little model for me. With that dark hair and big eyes, Mr. A is beyond adorable. Add a plaid vest and a matching hat and I can’t even handle how cute he looks. There is nothing quite as adorable as a little boy dressed like a little man! For classic and adorable children’s clothing, I always recommend Janie and Jack or Boden!
Using Props in These Massachusetts Cake Smash Photos
Anyone who has been in my studio can tell you that I have a lot of props. And by a lot, I mean A LOT. Over the ten years that I’ve been photographing newborns, children, and family, I have accumulated quite the assortment of props. This means that I can accommodate many different themes or ideas that parents have for their photos.
Down below is one example of some of the props I have in the studio. This boat is one that I’ve used for everything from newborn photos to cake smashes, and it’s always a favorite. Add a few seashells and you have the perfect nautical backdrop. The ocean and nautical theme is a popular one, and it’s easy to see why.
Props are a great way to add a theme to any session. And cake smash sessions are the perfect time to use a theme. Whether it’s inspired by a certain color, place, or children’s book, we love a theme.
