Mr. H’s Newborn Portraits by a Massachusetts Photographer
This little man came to visit my Massachusetts studio for his newborn portraits. And not only did he bring along his parents, but his grandmother came, too! More and more grandparents are heading into the studio and I’m always thrilled to include them. Grandparents are such special people, and I know that this photo will be extra special to everyone!

Using Gray In These Newborn Portraits
Gray is one of my favorite colors. And it has become extremely popular over the last few years. It used to be seen as cold, but more and more people are embracing it for the opposite reason; gray can actually be very cozy and warm. Gray is a perfect neutral color. Whether it’s a light gray wrap, a dark gray heavy knit blanket, or a gray hat, there are endless ways to use gray.
For Mr. H’s newborn photos, gray and white were the main color choices. The addition of light blue adds just the right amount of color, and also works to soften the completed gallery.
I love a good prop. But I also love the simplicity of Mr. H laying on a light gray blanket. This pose is what I call the tushee in the air pose. For more about newborn poses check out this post: My Top 6 Newborn Photos to Capture.
