Massachusetts Fall Family Photos
I love summer, but looking at these Massachusetts fall family photos from last year definitely makes me long for that crisp autumn air! Fall is such a great time in New England. The colors are amazing, the weather is perfect, there’s apple cider and pumpkin picking. And, of course, there’s family portraits. Fall is the absolute perfect time of year for family portraits for so many reasons. Check out the photos below to understand why.
Both of the families below had the same color scheme in mind. It’s almost like they planned it! Navy blue is such a perfect neutral color, especially for outdoor portraits in the fall. Mr J. matches his daddy perfectly, and the first photo with his head against his momma’s is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve photographed this sweet boy and his family before, and it’s always a treat getting to see them.
Also feeling the love for navy blue is the second family in today’s post. How sweet are these sisters in their matching dresses? I’m a fan of sisters matching (which you know if you’ve ever seen photos of my own girls!) and these two are no different! And big brother fits in perfectly with his jeans and sweater. I’m really loving the shot of him and his sister holding hands. You can see how much they love each other! One of the best things about outdoor photos with children is the freedom they have. They can stretch their legs if they want.
About Fall Family Photo Mini Sessions
Fall is one of my most popular times of the year, and I totally understand why. The fall foliage in New England makes the perfect backdrop for family photos. Plus, the weather tends to be pretty perfect for outdoor portraits. For this reason, I offer mini sessions during the fall. A mini session is between 15-20 minutes, which makes it perfect for busy families or restless kiddos that hate to sit or stand still for very long. This is a great opportunity for me to see more families than I would be able to otherwise, but the spots are very limited. Every year I fill up faster than I think I will!
