Today I have another set of first year baby portraits and cake smash to share with you! I count myself extremely lucky to have been able to photograph this beautiful little lady from the South Shore of MA as both a newborn, and now as a toddler (!) at one year old. I loved meeting this family and I loved learning about who they are and making a connection with them.
Sometimes babies aren’t psyched to be in my studio. Because honestly, it’s just a fact of life. But I’ve got plenty of tips and tricks up my sleeve to make sure we walk away with portraits the family can cherish. In this case, I brought out the bubble machine. Baby girl D loved it! She got up, walked and I’m pretty sure she even danced while looking in amazement at the bubbles!
We wrapped up the session with a beautiful pink, grey and white themed cake smash. A lot of times I have the props necessary for the styling of the cake smash all ready to go in the studio. Sometimes if I know I can reuse an item, I will go head and get it for the studio for you to use. In baby D’s case I hooked up with tutu maker Bree from Sweet Petite Tutu. She made the tutu, the custom onesie, headband and cute little feet accessories.
