This little Miss has the kindest, most loving parents! It is so refreshing to see so much joy and remember each new life is a reason to celebrate. These days it is so easy to get bogged down by our to do lists, constant stream of current events and our social media addictions. Being a newborn photographer means when I go to “work” I am almost forced to remember what a miracle each and every life is at each and every newborn session. For this pause in the every day hustle and bustle, I am so thankful. Also, not a session goes by where I do not completely fall in love with the baby I am photographing!
Miss L from Medford, MA was no exception. I certainly fell in love with her during her session but I was clearly late to the party. She was already loved by so many as evidenced by her portraits with her Mama and Dad! She also came with lots of hand made and specially acquired items that I had fun incorporating. My heart seems to nearly explode every time I’m able to capture a newborn with her eyes open. I think her curiosity of this brand new world around her comes shining through as well as all of the potential that is open road ahead of her.

Kate and her assistant were amazing with her, getting her to sleep and posed; laura had a great time. and the pictures are such a special keepsake of such an incredible time in our lives. I know as her mother i’m biased, but kate didn’t just get some cute baby pictures, she took photos that really captured laura’s personality and will always help us remember those first few days, her first expressions, and her love of kicking with that adorably over-sized big toe! it has only been a few months, but she has already changed so much that we are taking laura back in again soon for some pictures where she can smile, laugh, and sit-up.
