What a wonderful time of year for outdoor family photos! I met up with this little dude for his 9 month baby portrait session this time last year. His parents were taking advantage of my “Baby’s 1st Year Milestone Portrait Packages” and the discounts that come along with that. There is nothing cooler than being able to watch and document the first year of a brand new life. The milestones are enormous and come in the blink of an eye.

For baby B’s nine month portraits we decided to head outdoors to not only capture this special time in his life but for a shot or two for their holiday card. This family portrait session is also a fantastic example of what to wear for your family portraits. I basically jumped for joy when I saw their outfits! The plaids and tones work perfectly with the foliage. The layering and accessories add a lot of interest and texture to the image.

Besides the photo below being downright beautiful showing this family’s loving family connection, it also shows a great wardrobe tip. Both Dad and baby are in perfect fall color plaids. The added denim vest ensures that Baby boy B doesn’t get “lost” in Dad’s arms.

A full family portrait session outside allows us multiple location changes. We were able to head to a nearby beach for the last few shots of our session.
