Family Photographer Andover MA :: The K Family

Oh my God I absolutely love this family. Mama became a friend when we both found our way in to an online support group (hilarious phrase, but true!) for women who were due with multiple babies in the month of January, year 2013. Yup, my lady babies are just under two weeks older than the two little ladies you see in the photos below. This family was originally living down South. As luck and fate would have it, they moved to Andover and the rest is history!

I met the family of 5 this past fall at a nearby park to capture their yearly family portraits in a beautiful setting. They had one request which was to try and mimic a shot they had taken when their kids were teeny tiny. It was a photo with each parent holding a lady baby, big brother in the center, as they all walked away from the camera. I love these shots and do generally try to incorporate them in my session “workflow.” So we did! I do love special requests.

Family portrait day should not be super stressful. I understand the stress that most parents (OK, usually Moms) go through before the actual session. Choosing wardrobe for every family member and worrying about everyone looking their best should be the extent of the stress. Once you arrive for your session, I strive to take it from there and make the experience an actual *fun* and *enjoyable* experience! Because really, why not? So we strolled through the beautiful woods, we threw leaves, they hugged and we all laughed together. Scroll to the bottom to see a hilarious “real” portrait.
