The very first Christmas portrait you see below of the two brothers basically made my entire year. They were my first family to walk in the door on that day. I had been prepping for last year’s holiday mini sessions and had a very specific look in mind. The toddler brothers sat on the wooden box I put there and smiled at me. Little brother’s kicked out foot was such a nice touch! I looked down at my camera screen and instantly knew I had found my perfect creative zone. A little bit of post production magic and voila! Christmas portraits for your entire family to enjoy!
If you’re looking for ideas on what to wear for your Christmas portraits, look no further than the family below. Plaids are always a winner in my book. Mom took the colors from little brother’s plaid shirt and found the most perfect pair in a sweater for older brother. Dad wore a color pulled from their shirts while Mom was in simple black.
I photographed big brother as an itty bitty newborn and saw him again for his first year cake smash. I was pregnant and not able to photograph little brother. But I have gotten to see this family every year for their Christmas portraits and it is something I look forward to every year!

This 6-9 month old baby girl’s Christmas portraits slay me. My obsession with plaid coupled with her adorable face just make these portraits absolutely perfect! I love having access to both the dark background and the light for these type of portraits.
