Family Portrait Photographer :: The Boston Common

I last saw baby M and her family approximately 6 months prior to this fall family session for her professional photography debut. Check out her newborn portraits if you get the chance.  For these family portraits we decided to meet up at the Boston Common in Boston, Massachusetts. It might be *well* photographed, but the Common really is such a gorgeous and iconic background for family portraits.

Baby M has grown! The first difference I noticed was her hair went from jet black to a light brown. She retained her adorableness though and has the most gorgeous blue eyes.  I had fun chasing around her older sister and working hard to get sibling shots. It was a great day in the park. Enjoy!

Such a gorgeous family, and you captured them beautifully. Love the pictures of the big sister kiss. :)

Thanks Sophie! That’s one of my favorites also :)

Arlington Newborn Portraits :: Professional Photographer

Meet Baby A. What a little charmer! I’m happy and lucky to report that after getting his newborn portraits taken his Mom + Dad decided they loved them so much they wanted to do a year long baby portrait package. I’ve already seen him for his 3 month photos and will see him a few more times this year!

I love a smiling newborn photo as much as the next but I also love a yawning baby. In the first photo below I believe he’s yawning although it looks suspiciously like a scream (most yawing photos do). The reality is, even if he is telling us what’s on his mind, this is how you see your baby’s face for part of the day and is part of life … maybe even more than those rare newborn smiles. Of course when I’m able to capture those smiles, it’s like I won the lottery. And luckily on this day, I was able to. Enjoy!

Boston Common Photographer :: 10 Month Baby Old Baby A Portraits

Back in September I had the privilege of meeting up with Baby Alyvia, her Mom and her Dad at the Boston Common in Boston, Massachusetts. I’ve been photographing Alyvia since her birth, 10 months prior to this particular day. It’s always so amazing to see how fast tiny newborn babies turn into crawling, independent thinkers of their own. Alyvia was HYsterical on this particularly summery fall day. Reading her “Animals” book, crawling like a champ (which unfortunately translates into a lot of running for me), and well, eating dirt and sticks and anything she found that she felt like. Cause she could. Cause no matter how much we would tell her not to, what could we really do? Our mere words were no match for this feisty little 10 month old!

Beach Baby Portraits :: Revere Baby Photographer

It may be a balmy winter here in New England but it’s still not exactly beach weather. Warm up by checking out Baby V’s 6 month baby portraits taken on Revere Beach this past summer. She is a little beauty and had fun smiling, perusing books and playing with Mom + Dad on the beach. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the beach! Soon enough, soon enough. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine’s Day from Crabapple Photography!

It may be a Hallmark (tm?) holiday but I’ll admit I get caught up in the hype of Valentine’s Day. Especially when it involves adorable newborn babies fast asleep in front of block letters that spell out L♥VE. Happy Valentine’s Day from Crabapple Photography!
